Why do you want to be an Art Educator?

Since I was young, I have always held an interest in art. This interested was developed throughout my education and determined that I would follow a path into a career in art. Originally I majored solely in ceramics, but later added the second degree of art education, when I realized how I could utilize my love for children, as well as art. As an art educator I have the power to introduce and assist in developing art and artistic skills in children and young adults. My goal as an art educator is to teach the importance that art has on our current world and society, and how even those who are not seeking a career in art can benefit from artistic knowledge.
